Drive-In

Sean and I love to go to the movies but with two kids its hard to find the time to get out alone. So a couple weeks ago we decided that we would go to the Drive in and just take the kids with us. So we piled pillows and blankets in the back of the jeep and took off. They were showing "Up" and "Night at the Museum 2". Olivia fell asleep before the movies started and Jaidyn sat really well through "Up" then fell asleep and Sean and I enjoyed the second movie alone. We had a great time!

Father kid campout

A couple of weeks ago Sean had the opportunity to take Jaidyn camping on our ward's father kid camp out. Jaidyn had never been camping before so I tried to explain what camping was to her and the only thing I could think of to tell her that she would get to sleep outside. She didn't seem too excited about that but since her best friend Caitlin was going with her dad, she was pretty excited. Both Sean and Jaidyn had a great and Jaidyn loved that she got to play all day with Caitlin and sleep in the same tent as her.

Olivia 9 months old

It has been about a month since Olivia had her 9 month check up. She weighed 15lbs 8 oz (3 percentile) her height was 28 1/2 inches long (75th percentile). Because she is so low on the scale for her weight, our dr. recomended that we feed her high calorie food. Unfortunatly because of her protien allergey the selection of high calorie food is pretty slim so that will be our next challage with her.

Jaidyn's 3rd Birthday

Jaidyn turned 3 on April 7th. We had a great birthday party at her grandparents house. We planned to have the party when her Uncle Mike and Uncle Kyle were in town. It was really nice to have them there.Jaidyn, her best friend Caitlyn and her cousin Justin

My first atempt at making a fancy birthday cake. I think it turned out pretty good!

Funny Jaidyn

Jaidyn cracks me up sometimes! I really need to write some of the stuff down when she says it because I always forget but here are a few things she has said recently.

I bring Olivia down stairs after her nap...

Jaidyn says, "Olivia, you're getting so big!"

The other day I vacuumed down stair while Jaidyn was napping. When she wakes up she says,

"mommy, did you vacuum?

"Yes, I did!"

"Oh, thank you for vacuuming mommy!"

We are trying to potty train Jaidyn. Most of the time she does really well but the other day she had a little accident. She had gone upstairs to her room to get something and she come down waddling with her pant legs pulled up.

"Jaidyn, did you wet your pants?"

"yeah, I'm so dead!"

I couldn't even be mad, I was laughing so hard!

First time snowboarding with Sean

Sean has been wanting me to go snowboarding with him ever since we got married but it just never worked out. We finally got a chance to go up to Stevens and we took Sean's sister Chalyce with us. It was her first time and my first time in about 7 years, so basically my first time too. We had a blast but woke up very soar the next morning.

Just taking a break! This is where I spent most of my time!

Yes, I needed a little assistance.

Ahh...a refreshing dew after a long afternoon of snowboarding!

Better Late than never! Olivia 6 months

I know this is two months late but at least it here! Olivia had her 6 month check up back in February. She was 13lbs. 8oz. and 25 inches long. Which puts her in the 10th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height. She is tall and skinny, just like her older sister, but nother like her mother or father!

our little olivia

we love olivia so much, however she has been anything but an easy baby. the first 4 weeks of her live were great! when she wasn't eating she was sleeping and when she was sleeping she would sleep for hours! total opposite of jaidyn when she was a baby. just after olivia turned a month old i started having a really hard time nursing her so i started supplementing with bottles. turns out she had reflex so she was put on medicine for that but it wasn't helping her eat any better. the doctor suggested that i put her on soy formula since she was basically refusing to nurse and she thought the soy would help the reflex but all it did was make her constipated. poor thing, it was one thing after another with her. so i took her back to the doctor because she still was hardly eating anything at all. the doctor then thought that she might have a milk protein allergy and suggested that i put her on a hypoallergenic formula. we did that and she started eating a bit better and has been getting better ever since then. i think she might be starting to grow out of all her issues. she has started taking actual naps rather than just sleeping here and there and eating regularly and about a week ago she rolled over! well i say she rolled over but sean disagrees because her arm was still stuck under her. but two days ago she really did roll over. she doesn't really like it though cause then she is stuck on her belly and she does not like that at all! but even after going through all of that with her we still adore her and her smile. here are a few great pictures of her.

Christmas day

kyle and mike spent a few days with us and were with us on Christmas morining!

this year was a year of firsts for our family. first of all this was the first Christmas we spent Christmas morning at our own house. it was really neat to wake up and just be with our family and watch jaidyn open her presents. second of all this was the first year that we have not had Christmas dinner with my mom. it was really sad to not have her and my brother brian here. but it was really nice to have my other three brothers here with us on Christmas day. thanks to my sister in-law we had a really good Christmas dinner. oh and it was of course olivia's first Christmas!
